You, Me & Friends “Amazing Places” ***Kakadu National Park***

Departing Darwin on our tour of The Red Centre and Top End, we will embark on a journey into the heart of Australia’s wilderness, with a guided Outback Adventure in Kakadu National Park. Over three days and four nights, we will be immersed in the natural wonders and ancient landscapes of this UNESCO World Heritage-listed site.

Our adventure includes a visit to Ubirr, where ancient Aboriginal rock art narrates stories etched in time. This sacred site unveils the rich cultural tapestry of Australia’s indigenous heritage. We will wander through the main gallery, where vibrant depictions of the Rainbow Serpent and the enigmatic thylacine will leave us mesmerized. As we stand in awe of these millennia-old creations, let the sweeping views of the surrounding floodplains deepen your connection to the land. Ubirr beckons adventurers to explore its ancient wonders and embrace the profound legacy of the Aboriginal people through their enduring artistry.

We continue our journey to the breathtaking natural wonder that is Katherine Gorge, a spectacular series of deep gorges carved through ancient sandstone by the Katherine River. We will cruise along the tranquil waters, surrounded by towering cliffs and lush vegetation, as we explore hidden gorges where freshwater crocodiles bask in the sun, and learn about the geological and cultural significance of this natural wonder.

Before our guided Outback Adventure ends, we will visit Edith Falls, where crystal-clear waters cascade into a series of picturesque rock pools. Take a refreshing dip in the pristine waters, explore the surrounding bushland trails, or simply relax and soak up the serene beauty of your surroundings.

Throughout our adventure, knowledgeable guides will provide insights into the rich history, diverse ecosystems, and traditional Indigenous cultures of Kakadu National Park, ensuring an enriching and unforgettable experience.

From ancient rock art to breathtaking landscapes, a guided Outback Adventure in Kakadu National Park promises to be a journey of discovery, adventure, and awe-inspiring natural beauty.

Oh my gosh, we all had a fantastic day out. Thank you so much. I really didn’t expect to like all those weird and wonderful snacks during the "Curious Food Train" activity, and didn’t think they would all participate. The staff all keep thanking us for such a great day. Looking forward to next years event!
