You, Me & Friends “Amazing Places” ***Redwood Forest-Rotorua***

After indulging in a late lunch on Day 2 of our Art Deco24 tour, we made our way back to the outskirts of Rotorua, eager to explore the enchanting Redwood Forest. Ascending to the arboreal walking trail suspended high above the forest floor, we embarked on a journey through the canopy of these towering giants.

Traversing eco-suspended bridges and platforms intricately designed to showcase the breathtaking natural environment, we marvelled at the grandeur of the 75-meter forest giants. The history and culture surrounding the Whakarewarewa Forest, coupled with its diverse range of outdoor recreational opportunities, exotic tree species, and native undergrowth, make it one of Rotorua’s most spectacular natural assets and a true treasure of the city.

Spanning over 5600 hectares, the forest offered boundless opportunities for exploration and enjoyment at our leisure. Whether biking, walking, horse riding, or simply basking in the tranquility alone or with loved ones, the forest stirred a myriad of emotions within us.

Renowned for its superb mountain biking and walking tracks, as well as the majestic stand of Californian Coast Redwoods, the forest enveloped us in an invigorating atmosphere and a sense of wonder. As we immersed ourselves in its beauty, we felt a deep connection to this remarkable place.

Embracing the manaakitanga extended to us, we reciprocated this generosity and spirit by treating the environment and fellow visitors with utmost care and respect. Our visit to the Redwoods & Whakarewarewa Forest was not just an adventure; it was a profound experience that left an indelible mark on our hearts.

Welcome to The Redwoods – Whakarewarewa Forest, Rotorua, New Zealand

Oh my gosh, we all had a fantastic day out. Thank you so much. I really didn’t expect to like all those weird and wonderful snacks during the "Curious Food Train" activity, and didn’t think they would all participate. The staff all keep thanking us for such a great day. Looking forward to next years event!
