On the morning of Day one we are collected from our Whangarei homes and drive to Taupo, stopping at several places along the way including stopping for afternoon tea and a browse around the shops in Tirau.
During our 2 nights in Taupo we will visit a glassblowing studio, a pottery café as well as Huka Falls Lookout.
On Day three we will head to New Plymouth for 4 nights, via a stunning private garden, and have lunch at the Awakino Hotel for you to indulge in whitebait if that is to your liking, before visiting the first of (at least) 10 gardens we will visit during the famous Taranaki Garden Festival. We will visit an array of gardens so there will be something for everyone to enjoy!
After 4 days exploring Taranaki, we will begin our return journey north on Day seven, stopping in Hamilton for 2 nights to enjoy Hamilton Gardens and High Tea at the renowned Zealong Tea Estate.
On Day 9 we will make our way back to Whangarei, with a couple of stops enroute, and have you back home in the late afternoon.
