Leave Whangarei on Day 1 and drive to Auckland airport, where we board a plane to Singapore (2 nights). After an exciting stopover we continue on to London (2 nights). Here our UK adventure begins. After 2 nights exploring the sights and sounds of England’s capital, we dial back the pace and move northward to Stratford upon Avon (2 nights), famous for being the hometown of William Shakespeare. Our English journey then continues in York (3 nights). This walled city was once the centre of the Northern gentry, and today the Yorkshire countryside still sits proudly amongst the modern elite of the big and small screen.
At this point we continue North, stopping in at the Lake District before crossing the border into Scotland. Our first stop in Scotland is in Glasgow (1 night), Scotland’s largest city. From here we launch into the wild Highlands, basing ourselves in Inverness (2 nights). From here we visit the Isle of Skye, and go in search of Jacobite history. Then it is on to Edinburgh (2 nights), Scotland’s capital city and hub of culture.
Next, we go into a special feature of this England, Scotland & Ireland tour – our Traveller’s Choice section. This is 4 nights of UnHosted time, a chance for you to go ‘off-book’ and choose your own adventure. Visit family and friends, go in search of your ancestral roots, or simply take time to relax and re-charge ahead of the final leg of the tour. The possibilities are endless.
Our tour reconvenes in Ireland, starting in the capital city Dublin (3 nights). Here we can explore the city, enjoy some traditional dancing and music, and partake in a cheeky Guiness or two. Then it is across to the West coast of Ireland (3 nights), where the countryside and the stunning Cliffs of Moher beckon. Next we turn south, with Killarney (2 nights) rounding out the Ireland experience.
From here we bid ‘Slán leat’ to Ireland and fly back to London (1 night), finishing up our British experience with a night in the famous West End. The next day we board a plane homeward bound, and fly home via Singapore. In Auckland, we will be met by our YMAF driver, to be delivered back to our Whangarei homes.
