On the morning of day one we are collected from our Whangarei homes and travel to Auckland airport, then check in for our flight to begin our Arabian Explorer adventure.
We fly to Dubai (2 nights) where we explore this super-modern Arabian metropolis with a city tour and a sunset dinner cruise. From the futuristic, we fly to the ancient wonders of Egypt, Cairo (2 nights) where we explore the impressive Pyramids of Giza & the Great Egyptian Museum (GEM). It is then on to the ancient city of Aswan (2 nights) with visits to the High dam & Temple of Philae. We will have a day trip to the spectacular Abu Simbel, before a (3-night) Nile River Cruise and visit some of the best-preserved ancient temples in Egypt. Disembarking in Luxor (2 nights) we visit the Valley of Kings & Queens historic site, with entry into the tombs of Tutankhamun and Ramses VI. From Luxor we fly back to Cairo (1 night) where we get to taste some local food while on a city tour.
From Cairo choose to either fly back to Dubai and on to Auckland and Whangarei or join those heading to Jordon (5 nights) on the optional extra add-on to visit the fabulous Lost City of Petra, the Dead Sea and spending a night at a desert camp in Wadi Rum. Then fly home via Dubai (1 night) to Auckland. We reach Auckland in the morning and head to Whangarei, arriving at your home in the late afternoon.
