We travel from Auckland to Taupo (2 nights) visiting gardens, art installations and seeing some beautiful kiwi scenery. We then travel across to Napier (5 nights) to enjoy exploring the biennial Hawkes Bay Garden Affair. The festival, run over three inspiring days, you’ll have the opportunity to explore an expertly curated collection of the region’s most beautiful private gardens, complemented by the creative works of talented Hawke’s Bay artists. From charming urban retreats to expansive rural landscapes, the gardens offer something for everyone — heritage trees, permaculture practices, vibrant potager gardens, local art and more.
From Napier we travel to Hamilton (2 nights) with a visit to Hamilton Gardens, and the stunning Woodlands Estate.
On the final day, we have morning tea with Linda Hallinan in her gorgeous cottage garden in the Hunua Ranges, before heading north, dropping our fellow garden enthusiasts home.
