Hosted Day Tour

On the morning of the tour meet us at the Whangarei Club. We’ll stop at Eutopia Café en-route for coffee and cake, then continue on to the Auckland Viaduct area. After some time for lunch, it is off to the ASB Waterfront Theatre for Auckland Theatre Company’s presentation of Cabaret.
Berlin, 1929. Germany stands on the edge of an abyss. In the twilight of the Jazz Age, nothing is taboo at the Kit Kat Club, where boys, girls and everyone in between are living each day as if it’s their last. Caught up in a hedonistic whirl of lust and booze, cabaret singer Sally Bowles is blind to the gathering storm, but even she can’t run from darkness.
Nomi Cohen stars as Sally Bowles, the role made famous by Liza Minnelli in the 1972 film, with Matu Ngaropo as the mercurial and increasingly sinister Emcee.
After the show, we’ll make our way north, stopping in at The Bridge House Lodge in Warkworth for dinner, before returning to the Whangarei Club at around 9pm.
