On the morning of Day 1, we are collected from our homes and travel to Auckland Airport for our flight to Beijing (3 nights). Our time in China’s fascinating capital includes an evening with one of China’s spectacular Acrobatic show, a visit to the iconic Great Wall of China, and a guided tour of the Temple of Heaven, Tiananmen Square and the magnificent Forbidden City. There is also time to relax or explore Beijing at your own pace before continuing our journey to Europe.

Our European adventure begins in Cologne (2 nights), where we’ll experience our first taste of the magical Christmas markets before boarding our 4-night all-meal inclusive Rhine River cruise. Cruising through the heart of Germany, we’ll visit the charming towns of Rüdesheim, Frankfurt, Mainz, the spectacular Loreley Valley and Koblenz, each beautifully decorated for the festive season.

Disembarking the cruise, we travel by train to Munich (4 nights), where we’ll explore the famous Christmas Markets, enjoy a Bavarian food & beer tour and a day tour to the fairytale Neuschwanstein Castle.

Our final European destination is Vienna (4 nights), the City of Music and birthplace of Northland artist and architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Here we’ll visit the colourful Hundertwasser House, wander through Vienna’s enchanting Christmas markets, and enjoy an unforgettable evening at a classical concert.

After Vienna, we return to Beijing for a well-earned overnight rest break before boarding our flight home. On Day 21, we’ll arrive back in Auckland where our shuttle will be waiting to transfer us home to our central Whangarei addresses.
