Hosted Tour: 20 days / 19 nights

On the morning of Day 1 we are collected from our homes and travel to Auckland Airport for our flight to our stopover point (2 nights) with sightseeing.

Then it is on to Germany – starting with Cologne (2 nights), getting our first taste of the European Christmas magic. We then board the river boat (4 nights) for our fully inclusive cruise along the Rhine visiting Rüdesheim, Frankfurt, Mainz, Loreley Valley and Andernach.

Disembarking the cruise, we catch the train to Munich (4 nights), visiting the famous Munich Christmas Markets, and have a day tour to the spectacular Neuschwanstein Castle & Linderholf Palace.

Our final European stop will be Vienna (4 nights), the City of Music and the birthplace of Northland artist/architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser. No trip to Vienna would be complete without visiting Hundertwasser House and attending a classical music concert.

After Vienna, we will fly back to the southern hemisphere to resume our summer, with an airport hotel rest break (1 night) on the way to Auckland. On Day 20 we will meet our shuttle at Auckland Airport and will be transported back to our central Whangarei homes.
