Our journey begins with a relaxed departure from our homes in Whangarei as we head south toward the heart of the North Island. Along the way, we’ll stop at the Golf Warehouse and hit the driving range to warm up our swings. By evening, we’ll arrive in beautiful Taupō, where we’ll settle into our accommodation for a three-night stay.
The following morning, we tee off for our first round of golf at one of New Zealand’s most iconic courses – the Wairakei Golf Course.  After a day on the greens, we’ll unwind in the region’s natural thermal hot springs—a perfect way to relax sore muscles.

Day three takes us on a scenic adventure around the Taupō area, including a visit to the spectacular Huka Falls and the Wairakei Thermal Valley. For those feeling lucky, there’s a chance to take on the Lake Taupō Hole-in-One Challenge—an ideal way to sharpen your aim for tomorrow’s round at another top thermal region course.
From Taupō, we journey through the lush Tahorakuri Forest en route to Rotorua, where we’ll spend the next three nights. Renowned for its rich Māori culture and geothermal wonders, Rotorua welcomes us with our second game of golf on arrival at one of the region’s premier courses – the Arikikapakapa Golf course. After the game, rejuvenate in the award-winning Polynesian Spa — an indulgent way to end the day.

The next day is yours to explore. Discover Rotorua’s fascinating blend of culture and nature, including a visit to a historic thermal village. In the evening, enjoy a cultural feast and performance.

The following morning, we bid farewell to Rotorua, and drive to Tauranga where we’ll play our third round of golf at the Tauranga Golf Club – offering 18 championship tested holes of real character that will challenge and delight.
The next morning, we have a leisurely breakfast at a local café then we drive to Hamilton (1 night). We visit the Hamilton Gardens upon arrival, before finding lunch in the garden cafe before checking into our final night’s accommodation.

On our final day, we tee off for our fourth and final game of golf at another top NZ course – Tieke Golf Estate, followed by lunch at the Tieke Golf club Bistro. After a memorable round, we begin the journey home, returning to Whangarei later that evening—refreshed, inspired, and with plenty of great stories (and golf shots) to share.
